Schedule

The tournament will take place on the weekend of 18th-19th May 2024 at Chesterton Indoor Bowls Club, Cambridge. It will consist of eight hanchan. The below is a preliminary schedule, but it is unlikely to change significantly.

Friday 17th May 2024

We'll have a welcome social meeting in a pub in Cambridge, probably with some friendly games of mahjong. Details will be announced shortly. The dinner that was proposed previously will not go ahead due to lack of interest.

Saturday 18th May 2024

After the first day of the tournament is complete, those who are interested can head into town and we will go punting along "The Backs", where we can take in some amazing views of the historic University of Cambridge colleges on the banks of the River Cam (and have some fun). We'll do our own punting - hopefully we'll have enough volunteers to do the hard work! This will probably be starting from about 20:00, returning by 21:00 and will cost around £5-10 per person.

Following this, we'll reserve some space at a restaurant or pub in town for those who went punting to have some (late) dinner (not included in the tournament price). Further details will be forthcoming.
